What is a Springboard?
A one-day event that allows students through experiential learning to reflect on where their interests and strengths overlap with emerging career-life opportunities. Springboards are an innovative approach to expose student awareness to a variety of career-life choices.
Who is involved?
- Springboard opportunities are provided in partnership by SD61, ESQ Careers Team & Community Partners. Check out below previous offered springboards
- Students across the district are invited to apply
Why are they being offered?
Springboards provide an opportunity for students to spend a day exploring potential career paths with our community partners. This is a great opportunity to connect with industry leaders currently working in the field:
- Find out their pathway to where they are today
- Education that is recommended or required
- What a typical day looks like, it may be different than what you thought!
When are they offered?
Offered throughout the year. Springboards are a one day event. Check out below WHEN previous springboards were offered.
Where do they occur?
In our communities! We are grateful for all our community partners for allowing us to come to them for the hands-on/interactive experience. Students need to bring a lunch/water bottle, notebook & pen; all other supplies/materials provided.
